Sand Valley Lodge is the only on-resort accommodation at Sand Valley, and that distinction carries practical weight.

The property

Roughly 60 rooms and suites within the clubhouse complex, overlooking the sand barrens landscape that gives the resort its character. The on-site restaurant and bar function as the social centre of the property, the place where foursomes recount approach shots over Wisconsin beer after a round on Mammoth Dunes or The Lido. Pro shop steps from the lodge entrance.

What to expect

Direct access to the resort's four 18-hole courses, The Sandbox short course, and the forthcoming Commons 12-hole layout, all without getting in a car. The concierge handles tee time coordination across Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes, The Lido, Sedge Valley, and The Sandbox. For groups on multi-day packages, the lodge consolidates logistics in a way no off-resort alternative can match. The premium over off-site options buys proximity, and at a walking-only resort in rural Central Wisconsin, proximity is the amenity that matters most.

Rates and booking

$250 to $500 nightly, with peak summer at the upper end and meaningful savings in the spring and fall shoulder seasons (cooler temperatures, firmer conditions, fewer players on the course). The resort runs late April through October. Direct-book only through the resort, not listed on third-party platforms. Lodge availability during peak months requires advance planning.
