This itinerary collects the four courses that represent the upper tier of Hilton Head golf. Three sit within Sea Pines Resort, and the fourth anchors the Palmetto Dunes complex on the opposite side of the island. Together they cover the island's design heritage from Pete Dye's original 1969 layout through Davis Love III's 2014 reconstruction, with Robert Trent Jones Sr.
Fly into Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV) and drive the 50 to 60 minutes to the island. Check into Sea Pines Resort, either at The Inn and Club at Harbour Town or a rental villa within the community.
The main event. Harbour Town measures 7,099 yards from the Heritage tees with a slope of 147, and the tight, tree-lined corridors and small greens create a round where every shot requires a plan.
Heron Point provides a different lens on Pete Dye's work at Sea Pines. Where Harbour Town is tight, precise, and punitive, Heron Point offers six sets of tees that accommodate a wider range of abilities and more generous corridors off the tee.
Drive to Palmetto Dunes for the trip's final round. Robert Trent Jones Sr.
Check out of Sea Pines and return to SAV, allowing 60 to 75 minutes for the drive and airport processing. For groups with a late flight, the morning is free for a final ride through the bike trails, a visit to Harbour Town Lighthouse, or breakfast at the marina.
Sea Pines Resort serves as the home base for all four nights. The Inn and Club at Harbour Town ($300 to $500 per night) provides the most integrated experience, with preferred tee time access and proximity to the courses and marina. A Sea Pines villa ($200 to $500 per night) offers more space and kitchen facilities, reducing per-person costs when split among a group. Three of the four rounds are within the Sea Pines gates; only the Palmetto Dunes day requires driving across the island. A rental car is necessary for the airport transfer and the Palmetto Dunes round. The Daufuskie Island tour departs from Shelter Cove Marina, which is outside Sea Pines and does not require the $9 gate fee.
