The Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa is the only property on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail that integrates a full-service resort with on-site championship golf.
259 Marriott rooms adjacent to the Ross Bridge course in Hoover, just south of Birmingham. Three restaurants, a full-service spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, a fitness center, and tennis courts. The dining ranges from casual to refined, holding the Marriott standard the Renaissance brand carries.
The walk from lobby to first tee eliminates the logistical gap that defines most Trail visits. The spa becomes increasingly useful as a multi-day road trip stacks rounds and miles. From here, Oxmoor Valley sits 20 minutes away, making this a practical base for both Birmingham-area Trail sites. Downtown Birmingham is roughly 15 minutes north for the city's restaurants, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, and the Avondale and Lakeview entertainment districts.
$180 to $300 nightly, the premium tier of RTJ Trail accommodation. The rate buys more than a room: it buys walking access to the Trail's flagship course and a full-service property to return to afterward. Stay-and-play packages bundling Ross Bridge tee times are available through the resort and through the Trail's Central Reservations at (800) 949-4444. Marriott Bonvoy members earn and redeem points at the standard chain rate.
