The property

Embassy Suites Montgomery is a 237-suite Hilton property about fifteen minutes south of Capitol Hill in Prattville. Every room is a suite, with a separate living area that matters more on a multi-night road trip than the spec implies, and the all-suite format gives a travelling group room to spread out after a day on the Judge or Senator courses.

What to expect

The complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast removes a logistics step before a morning tee time, and the complimentary evening reception with drinks and snacks takes the pressure off finding dinner immediately after a late-afternoon finish. An indoor pool, a fitness center with Peloton bikes, and EV charging stations round out the amenities. None of this is resort-level, but all of it serves a travelling golfer cleanly. The Montgomery position also gives you easy reach to the city's restaurants and Civil Rights sites if you want a non-golf day in the rotation.

$110 to $180 nightly. Hilton Honors points apply at standard rates. Pair it with the Hampton Inn Prattville if you are splitting nights between properties, or use it as a standalone two- or three-night base for Capitol Hill and Cambrian Ridge.
