Murrells Inlet MarshWalk

The MarshWalk is a half-mile boardwalk along the marsh edge of Murrells Inlet, twenty miles south of central Myrtle Beach, connecting eight waterfront restaurants and bars with decks facing the tidal creek.
The walk is free; the draw is the combination of fresh seafood, live music most evenings from spring through fall, and a setting that trades the neon of the main strip for something quieter. Murrells Inlet holds the informal title of "Seafood Capital of South Carolina," earned through generations of shrimpers and fishing families still working the inlet. Restaurants source locally when the catch allows. Creek-caught shrimp and she-crab soup show up on most menus and represent the area at its most specific.
The atmosphere is intentionally casual. Arriving in golf attire after a round is fine. The boardwalk links every restaurant, so drinks at one place, dinner at another, and dessert at a third never requires car keys. It's a genuine waterfront dining district with local roots, not a themed entertainment complex.
Free to walk; dining $15 to $50 per person. Busiest on weekend evenings May through September. Free parking fills quickly during peak hours; arrive before 6pm for the easier slot. About thirty-five minutes from the Barefoot Resort area. Reservations aren't universal, but several spots offer call-ahead seating.
