What to expect

The distance to courses is the consideration. Blackwolf Run is roughly 12 miles away. Whistling Straits is 15. Neither is a long drive, but there is no shuttle service, and early tee times mean a 25-minute commute in the dark during shoulder season. The lakefront setting and the village of Elkhart Lake, with its restaurants, shops, and proximity to Road America, create a different atmosphere from the Kohler campus.

$200 to $350 per night. Golfers who want lakefront evenings, a strong spa, and the charm of Elkhart Lake will find it worth the extra driving. Those who prioritise proximity and shuttle convenience are better served on the Kohler campus.
