Blue Harbor Resort occupies a stretch of the Sheboygan lakefront on Lake Michigan, roughly five miles from Blackwolf Run and fifteen from Whistling Straits. The property offers 183 suites ranging from 500 to over 1,900 square feet, plus 64 villas with full kitchens. Every suite includes a microwave and mini-fridge, and the villa configurations accommodate groups of six or more comfortably.

The defining feature is Breaker Bay, a 54,000 square-foot indoor waterpark maintained at 84 degrees year-round. It includes the only double surf simulator in eastern Wisconsin, along with slides and a lazy river. Day passes are available at $40 per person, with community night pricing of $20 on Thursdays. For golfers whose families or partners need a full day of activity while the group plays 36 holes, Breaker Bay solves that problem decisively. Four on-site restaurants, an arcade, indoor mini golf, a spa, and a fitness center extend the non-golf options.

The trade-off is distance from the Kohler resort campus. Blue Harbor does not participate in Destination Kohler's shuttle service, so a rental car is necessary for course access. The five-mile drive to Blackwolf Run is straightforward. The fifteen miles to Whistling Straits takes roughly 25 minutes.

At $150 to $300 per night, Blue Harbor offers more space per dollar than either on-resort option. Groups splitting a villa can bring the per-person cost below $75, which makes it the most economical option for parties of four or more who prioritize kitchen facilities and family amenities alongside their golf.
