Barefoot Resort & Golf is the densest concentration of quality golf in the Myrtle Beach corridor: four championship courses by Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Davis Love III, and Greg Norman sharing a sprawling property along the Intracoastal Waterway. Staying on site eliminates the morning commute that defines most Grand Strand golf trips.
The villa inventory is distributed across the resort in several complexes, ranging from one-bedroom condos to four-bedroom townhomes. Most are individually owned and rented through VRBO or the resort's management company, which means furnishing quality and maintenance vary by unit. Read recent reviews for the specific unit, not just the property generally. The better-maintained villas are comfortable and spacious, with full kitchens and screened porches looking onto either golf course fairways or the marina.
Golf packages through the resort offer preferential rates on the four on-site courses, and the savings are meaningful. Playing all four Barefoot courses with an on-site stay typically runs 15 to 20 percent less than booking rounds individually with off-site lodging. The Dye course is the most architecturally aggressive of the four; Fazio plays broader and more forgiving. Love and Norman fall between, giving a group genuine variety across four days without repeating a design philosophy.
The marina and Barefoot Landing commercial area provide dining and evening options within walking distance, though quality is mixed. The pool is adequate without being a destination amenity.
$150 to $300 per night depending on unit size and season. Book direct for package pricing, or check rates through the link on this page. For groups whose primary objective is golf volume, the on-site convenience and bundled rates make a strong economic case.
