Avista sits on the oceanfront in North Myrtle Beach, a stretch of coastline that is noticeably quieter than the central Grand Strand. The 200 units occupy a single tower with direct beach access, and the upper floors deliver broad Atlantic views that justify the oceanfront premium. Lower floors face the pool complex, which includes a lazy river and multiple hot tubs that serve as the primary communal amenity.
The units are condo-style, most with separate living areas, full kitchens, and balconies. The 3.5-star rating reflects a level of finish above the standard Myrtle Beach condo-hotel: updated bathrooms, consistent furniture quality, and housekeeping standards that hold up across a multi-night stay. For a golf group of four, a two-bedroom unit splits economically and provides enough space for equipment storage without turning the room into an obstacle course.
Tidewater Golf Club, one of the Grand Strand's more elevated designs, sits five miles south. The Barefoot Resort courses are a similar distance. The northern position also places Avista within range of the Calabash and Sunset Beach courses across the state line, a cluster that often goes overlooked by visitors focused on the central Myrtle Beach inventory.
Rates run $100 to $180, remarkably competitive for an oceanfront 3.5-star property. The absence of on-site dining means meals require a short drive, but North Myrtle Beach's restaurant options have expanded considerably in recent years. Avista delivers oceanfront quality at a price point that leaves more of the trip budget available for green fees.
