Two nights is enough to play the two courses that define Sea Island's reputation. The Seaside and the Plantation represent different architectural philosophies applied to the same coastal landscape, and experiencing both within forty-eight hours produces a comparison that reveals the strengths of each. Budget $1,800 to $3,500 per person for two nights at The Lodge at Sea Island or The Inn by Sea Island, two rounds with all-inclusive green fees, a rental car, meals, and one activity.

Trip at a Glance
Fly into Jacksonville or Savannah and drive to Sea Island. Check into The Lodge for the clubhouse atmosphere and butler service, or The Inn by Sea Island for a lower nightly rate that still grants course access.
Morning round on the Seaside Course, the par-70, 7,055-yard layout that hosts the RSM Classic. The forecaddie is included in the green fee and should be engaged actively: the wind patterns, the tidal influence on the marsh-side holes, and the preferred angles of approach are all local knowledge that improves the round.
Check out and drive to JAX or SAV. The drive runs seventy-five to eighty-five minutes.

Plan the Practicalities
A rental car is necessary. The Lodge and The Inn both sit within easy reach of the courses, and all driving within the resort property is brief. Book tee times through the golf concierge when confirming the room reservation. This itinerary is best suited to the shoulder and peak seasons, when the weather supports full use of limited time. The Seaside Course closure from May through October 2026 is a significant planning factor here, since the Seaside is one of the trip's two courses.
