The experience

You'll get a pre-dawn hotel pickup, watch the inflation as the sky lightens, then spend 45 to 75 minutes drifting over saguaro forests and the surrounding mountain ranges. The desert reads differently from above. The scale of the Sonoran landscape, the patterns of the development across the valley, the way the morning light hits the ridgelines, all of it is harder to register from a car or a cart.
