Face Rock Creamery on Highway 101 in Bandon makes nationally recognised artisan cheese, with a free walk-in tasting counter sampling cheddar, gouda, and seasonal varieties. It's the current standard-bearer in a town with a long cheese-producing history.
Local cranberry products and Bandon-specific gifts round out the retail. Plan on 30 to 60 minutes depending on how seriously you approach the tasting. If you're driving to or from the resort, it's a natural break in the journey; if you're stocking the cottage or a Lodge room, the cheese here beats anything at the limited local grocery options. For groups arriving via the long drive from Portland or Eugene, it serves as a welcome marker that the destination has been reached.
Located at 680 2nd Street SE on Highway 101, directly between Bandon Dunes and Old Town Bandon. Open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. No reservation needed.
